There are some stages of making portraits.

- The Customer explains the Artist what he wants to see, for example, the style of the portrait, its composition, size, quantity of persons, dress, draperies, background.

- If the Customer wants to make a surprise for somebody he gives a lot of photos of this person. Try to choose the photos where this person is like itself.

- It's easier if the future portrait is not a surprise. The artist set the light, decorate the situation depending on setting him task. The artist takes necessary photos (from 10 till 40) by the professional camera.

- The next stage: the artist choose 2-3 good photos with the Customer. The artist mixes different details of faces and makes 2 or 3 sketches (usually they are graphic images in monochrome or in 2 or 3 colours of 15"20 size.

- The Customer selects one variant or combined variant of 2 or 3 images. The artist and the customer fix the time of making portrait. The Customer pays 40 per cent payment on account.

- After that the artist create at his own professional studio. In due course the customer comes to the artist's studio and expresses his opinion about the creation. The artist finishes off the portrait.

- The next stage is painting from life (as far as possible). Frankly speaking the artist can create portrait image of full value. The Customer pays 35 per cent payment on account.

- The portrait is finished off by coating and varnishing. The Customer pays 25 per cent of the sum total and secures his order.

The artist creates portraits in traditional method and others. The size of portrait is of little importance (30"40 to 300"200, etc). The artist uses materials made in Russia and Europe. The artst can advise paguette you can choose in the baguette workshop.
